FOOTBALL SCHOLARSHIP
Our Full-Time Football Scholarship, based at Beaconsfield Town FC, provides Year 11 leavers with the opportunity to combine full-time education with a comprehensive football development programme.
Designed for committed and ambitious players, the programme allows students to study a Level 3 Sport qualification alongside a structured training and competitive football schedule, creating an ideal balance between academic progression and on-pitch development.
Our coaching and education staff bring over 20 years of experience working in professional football, supporting the development of both male and female players. Their expertise spans elite player pathways and the wider football industry — full details can be found on our staff profiles.
We offer two- or three-year pathways, supporting learners who wish to:
- Develop their football performance
- Achieve recognised academic qualifications
- Explore careers within the sports industry, including coaching, performance analysis, recruitment, and sports science
This programme is ideal for students seeking a clear pathway into higher education, football opportunities, or a future career in sport.
The Education
Our Beaconsfield Town base operates as a satellite site of Stanmore College, with all academic study and football activity delivered on-site at Beaconsfield Town FC.
This setup allows learners to experience the structure and standards of college education while being fully immersed in a professional football club environment — creating the ideal balance for sports-focused students.
Our sports education pathways provide a genuine insight into the professional sporting world and are designed to support individual learners based on their long-term ambitions.
Whether the goal is a career in sport, progression to university, or studying overseas, we help learners choose the pathway best suited to them.
The Football
Through a unique football pathway in partnership with Beaconsfield Town FC, we are able to offer a wide range of competitive football opportunities to suit players at different stages of their development.
Our programme includes:
- Senior First Team football at Step 4 (including paid opportunities)
- U21s senior football
- U18s floodlit football
- College league football
This tiered structure ensures every player can enter the pathway at the appropriate level, with clear opportunities to progress, develop, and grow within a competitive and supportive football environment.#
Application Criteria
We welcome:
- Year 11 leavers onto our full two-year programme
- Ideally learners will be predicted a 4 in at least English and or Maths
- A level of football ability which allows them to play competitive games
